Great Lakes Theater Festival

The Great Lakes Theater Festival will have the classic musical My Fair Lady at the Hanna Theater in Playhouse Square September 23rd through October 29th.  Twelfth Night will be running in repertory beginning on September 30th.  216-241-6000  

Bay Arts

French Creek Theater

US Air Force Concert Band

The United States Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants will perform on Wednesday evening, October 26th, at the Maltz Performing Arts Center on the campus of Case Western Reserve University.   216-368-6062  

Earth Day Coalition

The Earth Day Coalition’s annual Instrumental Evening for the Earth on Wednesday evening, November 2nd, features Cleveland Orchestra violinists Beth Woodside and Emma Shook, and violist Lembi Veskmets in music of Antonin Dvorak. It’s in the Smartspace at the 78th Street Studios.  216-281-6468  



The Wordstage ensemble has two performances coming up.  On Friday evening, October 28th at the Lakewood Presbyterian Church, they’ll present Gorey Stories –culled from the works of Edward Gorey.  And on Sunday afternoon, October 30th at the Bop Stop on Detroit Road, it’s Poe and Fiends, including stories by Bradbury, Lovecraft, Goethe and of course, Edgar Allan Poe.   216-712-6926  

Blank Canvas Theater

Blank Canvas Theater presents the Cleveland premiere of Silence:  The Musical – the Unauthorized Parody of The Silence of the Lambs.  It’s on stage October 21st through November 5th .  Blank Canvas Theater is at the78th Street Studios.   440-941-0458  

Tri-C East Orchestra

The next concert by the Tri-C East Orchestra will include music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and others.  It takes place on Saturday, October 29th at 4:00PM in Building ESS at Tri-C’s Eastern Campus.

Ensemble Theater has Conor McPherson’s one-man show St. Nicholas starring Dana Hart playing October 21st through 30th

Cleveland Playhouse

The play Sex with Strangers is the next offering of the Cleveland Playhouse.  It’s in the Allen Theater in Playhouse Square from October 22nd through November 13th.  216-241-6000  

John Knox Concert Series

The John Knox Peformance Series presents the Cleveland Chamber Choir in concert on Friday evening, October 28th, at John Knox Presbyterian Church in North Olmsted.  They’ll have music of William Billings, Charles Ives, Samuel Barber and others.

Cleveland Orchestra

Stephane Deneve is the Guest Conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra’s all-Prokofiev concerts of Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, October 27th through 29th, with violinist Jahmes Ehnes as the soloist.  Organist Todd Wilson will provide the live accompaniment at Severance Hall for a showing of the classic silent film Nosferatu on Tuesday evening, October 25th.  And Brett Mitchell conducts the Orchestra’s Halloween Spooktacular Family Concert on Sunday afternoon, October 30th.    216-231-1111  

Cleveland Institute of Music

At the Cleveland Institute of Music, there are two more programs in the Boulez Legacy Series of concerts, on Wednesday evening, October 26th, and Sunday afternoon, October 30th .  Both concerts take place in Mixon Hall. 

Mary Queen of Peace

The English a cappella vocal ensemble Voces 8 will perform at Mary Queen of Peace Church in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, October 30th, at 3:00.   216-749-2323
