Ohio Light Opera

Tickets are now available for the Ohio Light Opera’s summer season at the College of Wooster, with seven shows by Gilbert and Sullivan, Jacques Offenbach, Ivor Novello, Emmerich Kalman, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin.  The shows run in repertory from June 18th through August 13th.  330-263-2345  

Trinity Lutheran Church

Organist Florence Mustric presents a program called The Chase Continues, with music of Cernohorsky, Bach and Mendelssohn on two Wednesdays, July 6th and 13th  as part of the noontime concert series at Trinity Lutheran Church, at West 30th and Lorain, near the West Side Market.       216-281-1700  

Apollo's Fire

Mamai Theater Company

Cleveland International Piano Competition

The 2016 Cleveland International Piano Competition takes place July 24th through August 7th at four different venues in University Circle. 

Cleveland Shakespeare Festival

Cleveland Shakespeare Festival's second summer production is The Tempest.  There are nine outdoor performances from July 22nd through August 7th

Hoke Theater

Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods is at the Hoke Theater at Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center July 22nd through 31st.

Porthouse Theater

The third production of Kent State University’s Porthouse Theater at the Blossom Music Center is Footloose, playing July 28th through August 14th.   330-672-3884  

Tri-C East Orchestra

The Tri-C East Orchestra will perform American music as well as music of Broadway and the movies on Sunday, July 31st  at 3:30 in Building Ess of the Tri-C Eastern Campus, and on Sunday, August 7th at 3:00 at the Cleveland Heights Public Library.

Cleveland Orchestra

At the Blossom Music Center on Saturday, July 30th, Guest Conductor Hans Graf will be joined by violinist Pinchas Zukerman for Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5.  The program also includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, in which the Cleveland Orchestra will be joined by the Kent/Blossom Chamber Orchestra.  That latter group will also perform its own concert beginning at 7:00.  And on Sunday, July 31st,  Michael Feinstein and the Orchestra perform music of Broadway.  216-231-1111

Cleveland International Piano Competition - Arts Connect

The Cleveland International Piano Competition is presenting a series of Thursday evening Arts Connect Events at the Beachwood  Community Center on Fairmount Boulevard.  On August 4th, Jason and Ralitsa Smith present a program by American composer with music written for and borrowed by trombone and piano. 

Mercury Theater

Mercury Theater’s final  production this summer is the musical The Little Mermaid, playing August 5th through 20th , at Notre Dame College in South Euclid.
