As of April 27 th, more than 128,000 Ohioans have already voted in the primary. That’s compared to almost 122,000 in 2014.

According to the Ohio Secretary of State’s office, Democrats are outvoting Republicans by about 16-thousand ballots.

Last week, candidates filed their final campaign finance reports before the primary.

Leading the fundraising race among Ohio’s gubernatorial candidates so far this year is Republican Attorney General Mike DeWine, who brought in $2.3 million, including in-kind contributions, followed by Democratic candidate Richard Cordray with $1.4 million.

Early in person voting continues this week and weekend.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is May 5 th.
