The 2016 election has cast significant doubt over the fate of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its accompanying Medicaid expansion. Republican leaders have stated their intention to repeal the law, putting health insurance coverage for 20 million Americans in question. Meanwhile, evidence mounts on the law’s effects on coverage, access to care, and health care utilization.

In this conversation with  Benjamin D. Sommers, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Economics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, we'll focus on the on the ACA’s effects to date and its uncertain future. After the speech, Dr. Sommers will be joined by  J.B. Silvers, Ph.D., John R. Mannix Medical Mutual of Ohio Professor of Health Care Finance at Case Western Reserve University.
