Kasich Announces; Exoneree Conference & Band; Larry Doby Statue

Governor John Kasich announced this week he'll join the crowded field seeking the Republican presidential nomination; our panel of area journalists provided insight. A conference on exonerees titled "Dealing With Exonerees and Returning Citizens in our Criminal Justice System: A Dialogue With Our Community" took place and we interviewed the conference organizer. We also heard a performance by the Exoneree Band, a group of musicians who all served prison time for crimes they didn't commit. And our arts reporter told us about two statues to be unveiled honoring comic book artist Harvey Pekar, on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights, and former Cleveland Indians player Larry Doby at Progressive Field.
