What Revised Property Valuations Mean For You

This week homeowners in Cuyahoga County began receiving their updated valuations. These assessments are performed county-wide every six years year and can raise or lower property taxes. This year, West Side suburbs such as Lakewood, Rocky River and Bay Village saw the sharpest increases. Residents can file an appeal if they feel their assessment is too high or too low. For more information on how the property values are set and the impact on taxes, ideastream's Rick Jackson spoke with Lisa Rocco, director of operations for the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office.
