Teen Activist Malala Yousafzai Gets Her Own Asteroid

We’ve all watched as Nobel Peace Prize winner and teen education activist Malala Yousafzai has traveled the world on behalf of girl's being able to attend school.

Now, the 17-year-old Pakistani has a new claim to fame. A NASA astrophysicist named an asteroid she discovered ...after Malala. An astrophysicist is someone who researches the universe to learn the principles of light and other natural forces. This astrophysicist decided to name it Malala, after reading about Yousafzai, who was gravely wounded by a Taliban gunman in 2012, but recovered and now travels the world.

The newly found asteroid circles the Sun between Mars and Jupiter.
