Lorain Councilman Sees Hurricane Maria Devastation Firsthand

On September 20, Hurricane Maria raked the island of Puerto Rico, sapping power, flattening structures and laving mysery in its wake.  To date, 45 deaths are blamed on the storm.  Nearly a month later, only about 16-percent of the island has electricity and many Puerto Ricans are struggling for the basics: shelter, food, water, medicine and fuel.The local Puerto Rican community has galvanized to help the people of Puerto Rico survive in the short term and rebuild in the long term.  Lorain City Councilman Angel Arroyo Jr. discusses his recent trip to the island.
