As the leaves begin to change and temperatures cool, the fall arts season is heating up online. Here are five virtual arts events from Northeast Ohio arts and culture institutions.

The Cleveland International Film Festival

Cleveland-born arts patron and philanthropist Agnes Gund is the subject of a new film, "Aggie: An Incredible Story of Art and Justice," by her daughter Catherine. The Cleveland International Film Festival presents the documentary virtually this weekend to kick off the festival's new Fall Online Event Series.

Cleveland Public Theatre's STEP Program

Students living in one of Cleveland's 17 wards can virtually audition for Cleveland Public Theatre's online and after-school, play creation course this Sunday at 3 p.m., as well as Sunday, October 4, 3 p.m., or Wednesday October 7, 3:30 p.m. The 9-week course takes place October 18- December 19 and is part of the  CPT's Student Theatre Enrichment Program or STEP.

Cleveland Composers Guild

After canceling its annual 2020 spring concert where Northeast Ohio music students perform new work by area composers, the Cleveland Composers Guild brings the concert back as a virtual performance Sunday, September 27, 3:15 p.m., via the guild's YouTube channel.

Western Reserve Historical Society

"Celebrate Those Who Give Black" honors individuals and organizations throughout Greater Cleveland that demonstrate the best of local Black philanthropy. The Western Reserve Historical Society now presents the exhibition from last season as a virtual show online.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Parents and teachers can access back-to-school resources for any grade level through Rock Hall EDU. The free program includes virtual activitity sheets, presentations and more for students to experience rock 'n' roll's influence on history as they also learn about science, math and the language arts.
