A divided federal appeals court has upheld an Ohio anti-abortion law that blocks public money for Planned Parenthood. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 11-6 to reverse a lower court ruling that found the 2016 law unconstitutional.  Planned Parenthood has not said whether it will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court

The Cleveland Browns are getting star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in a blockbuster trade with the Giants that sends safety Jabrill Peppers to New York.  The Browns are also giving up a first- and third-round draft pick this spring for OBJ.  Sources tell The New York Daily News Beckham is “stunned.”    The trade will be announced officially after the NFL deadline of 4 p.m. 

A police officer in Euclid has filed a civil rights complaint against his department. The details of Officer Shane Rivera’s complaint to the Ohio Civil Rights Commission cannot be released by the state until the matter is resolved.  Rivera himself has been accused of civil rights violations.  In 2017, a Euclid man filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city of Euclid claiming excessive use of force by Rivera and another officer, Michael Amiott.  The case was settled last fall.

Lorain Councilman Angel Arroyo is facing charges that include operating a vehicle while intoxicated after a crash Monday night. Police say Arroyo ran a stop sign and totaled the his car.  Arroyo already faces charges of domestic violence and resisting arrest from an incident in January. 

The Philadelphia 76ers held off the Cavs, 106-99, at Wells Fargo Arena. The Cavs clawed their way out of double-digit deficits twice, including once late in the fourth quarter, but could not answer Philly’s Joel Embiid, who scored the last six points of the game.  Collin Sexton led the Cavs with 26 points and Cedi Osman added 18.
