Zack Reed Talks with Reporters after Conceding the Cleveland Mayoral Race

[Timothy Dubravetz / ideastream]

Above, Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed talks with reporters after conceding the mayoral race to incumbent Frank Jackson.

Reed said he believes that money was the overall reason for his defeat. He claimed his candidacy pushed the city to make public safety a higher priority, including by bringing on more police cadet classes.

Reed will leave city council at the end of the year. Kevin L. Bishop won Reed's old Ward 2 seat Tuesday night.
