Cleveland Metropolitan School District Considering Funding New Skyscraper Development

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District is considering a deal with developers, and the city to aid financially in seeing a skyscraper built downtown for the first time in three decades.

The proposed $540 million 'nuCLEus' project would be comprised of office space and apartments, but the plan also calls for project developer Stark Enterprises to use a portion of the city's property tax bill which would normally go to the schools.

That is why CMSD is in the process of holding a series of community meetings and conducting an online survey to get input.
