On this 50 th anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination, the Rev. E.T. Caviness of Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church on Cleveland's East Side sat down with ideastream’s Rick Jackson to recall the civil rights icon who was his contemporary and friend. They discussed King’s many visits to Cleveland during the 1960s, why Ohio held a special place in King’s heart and what the apostle of nonviolence might view race relations in today’s America.
