New Ohio Drivers Licenses Coming in July

Beginning July 2, the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is introducing a new driver’s license that will comply with federal regulations. It's part of the post-9/11 Real ID Act aimed at increasing security at airlines and government sites. Ohioans can still choose to get a license that doesn’t meet the new federal standards, but the look of those will be changing, too.  Ideastream’s Rick Jackson speaks with BMV registrar Don Petit to learn more about the new-look licenses, what documentation you’ll need to get one and how you’ll receive it.
