Since late 2016, the possibility that First Energy could sell or close its nuclear power plants in Ohio has hung over the Ottawa County Village of Oak Harbor.
While the future of the nearby Davis Besse plant remains uncertain, Oak Harbor is starting to consider a future without the 40-year-old economic engine.
