Vocational Guidance Services Is Helping Ohioans with Disabilities

More than 13% of all Ohioans are disabled.
Only 20% of working-age Ohioans with disabilities currently hold full time employment and 30% of of Ohioans with disabilities live in poverty.

Those are daunting odds for people who already face challenges, and that's where Vocational Guidance Services has always stepped in to help.

Organizational roots date back more than 125 years and with offices throughout the state, VGS provides rehabilitation services and paid work opportunities; to thousands of Ohioans with physical and cognitive disabilities, a history of incarceration, and others with barriers to employment.

Vocational Guidance Services President and CEO Bob Comben talked more about the services VGS offers to those with disabilities.
