Former Miss. Universe says Trump publicly embarrassed her

A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE SAW SOME SKELETONS FALL OUT OF HIS CLOSET THIS WEEK – AND I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS.

HELLO, EVERYONE. I’M RICK JACKSON.

PERHAPS YOU’VE SAID OR DONE SOMETHING IN THE PAST THAT YOU WERE NOT PROUD OF – IT’S ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER YOUR ACTIONS, TREAT PEOPLE RESPECTFULLY, AND PRESENT YOUR BEST SELF – BUT THAT’S ESPECIALLY TRUE WHEN YOU’RE ON A PUBLIC FORUM, LIKE SOCIAL MEDIA, FOR INSTANCE. EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT NOT BE IMPORTANT TO YOU RIGHT NOW, YOUR DIGITAL PRESENCE – OR THE WAY YOU PRESENT YOURSELF ONLINE – CAN FOLLOW YOU FOR YEARS TO COME. THE PAST CERTAINLY HAS A WAY OF CATCHING UP TO YOU!

THAT’S A LESSON DONALD TRUMP HAS LEARNED THIS WEEK. NOW THAT HE’S A TOP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, TRUMP’S PAST BEHAVIOR IS GETTING A MUCH CLOSER LOOK.

IN 1996, DONALD TRUMP CO-OWNED MISS UNIVERSE, AN INTERNATIONAL BEAUTY PAGEANT -- AND WAS RECENTLY CALLED OUT BY HILLARY CLINTON’S CAMPAIGN, FOR PUBLICALLY SHAMING A MISS UNIVERSE WINNER BECAUSE OF HER WEIGHT.

BRIAN TODD HAS THE STORY.

WHEN DONALD TRUMP QUESTIONED HILLARY CLINTON'S STAMINA, SHE WAS READY... TAKING ON TRUMP WITH HIS OWN ALLEGED WORDS ABOUT A 'MISS UNIVERSE' CONTESTANT.

(Hillary Clinton/(D) Presidential Nominee) "He called this woman Miss Piggy then he called her Miss Housekeeping because she was Latina. Donald, she has a name."

(Donald Trump/(R) Presidential Nominee) "Where did you find this? Where did you find this?"

(Hillary Clinton/(D) Presidential Nominee) "Her name is Alicia Machado and she has become a U.S. citizen."

(Donald Trump/(R) Presidential Nominee) "Oh really?" (Hillary Clinton/(D) Presidential Nominee) "And you can bet she is going to vote this November."

ALICIA MACHADO, FROM VENEZUELA: WINNER OF TRUMP'S MISS UNIVERSE CONTEST IN 1996. WITH ALL THE STRESSERS AFTER THE EVENT, MACHADO SAYS SHE GAINED ABOUT 20-POUNDS. TRUMP CLAIMED IT WAS AT LEAST 40. THAT'S WHEN, SHE SAYS, TRUMP PUBLICLY SHAMED HER. THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN HAD A HIGHLY-PRODUCED AD, READY TO HIT TRUMP.

(Alicia Machado/Former Miss Universe) "He was overwhelming. I was very scared of him."

THIS SUMMER, MACHADO SPOKE OF THE NAMES TRUMP CALLED HER-- WHICH HILLARY CLINTON MENTIONED.

(Alicia Machado/Former Mess Universe) "Miss Housekeeping," "Miss Piggy. Miss Eating Machine."

MACHADO CLAIMS THAT NOT LONG AFTER THE 1996 PAGEANT, TRUMP PRESSED HER INTO WORKING OUT-- IN FRONT OF A CRUSH OF REPORTERS AND CAMERAS. SHE SAYS SHE FELT LIKE A LAB RAT.

(Instructor) "Now one of the things that she will do, OK- she will go back and forth. It's called an 'active rest."

(Donald Trump/(R) Presidential Nominee) "She's been a great Miss Universe. And she's like me and everybody else, we like to eat."

MACHADO RECENTLY TOLD THE NETWORK 'FUSION'-- SHE PROTESTED THAT DISPLAY.

(Alicia Machado/Former Miss Universe) "When I talked to him, like 'I don't want to do this. I feel so bad with these reporters in front of me.' And he told me, 'You know something? I don't care.'"

TODAY ON FOX-NEWS, TRUMP DEFENDED HIS TREATMENT OF MACHADO.

(Donald Trump/(R) Presidential Nominee) "She was the worst we ever had. The worst, the absolute worst. She was impossible. She was the winner, and, you know, she gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem. We had a real problem. not only that, her attitude. And we had a real problem with her"

THANKS, BRIAN. TRUMP HAS NOT DENIED MACHADO’S CLAIMS, BUT HAS INSTEAD QUESTIONED HER CREDIBILITY, IN A SERIES OF TWEETS FOLLOWING THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.
