NewsDepth 2021-2022 | Episode 15

In this week's episode, we hear both sides of a national debate focused on school: should kids be learning in a classroom or remotely? In this week’s poll, we want to know what the kids think!

Next, we meet a photographer who kept her neighbors connected by documenting the resilience of her community in a year of social distancing.

Then we cool down, with a story about a coach who taught his team the value of community service – by trading a dumbbell for a snow shovel.

Finally, things heat up, as we travel to Tonga, where an underwater volcano made a big splash in the Pacific.

Mental Health (noun):  the health of our brain, which controls how we think, feel, and act.

Archipelago (noun): a group of islands.

Tsunami (noun): a giant wave caused by earthquakes or volcanic eruptions underwater.

We meet a photographer keeping her community connected with "porch portraits." Now we want to know:  How do you stay connected to your friends, family, and community?

You can use the  inbox form to submit your answers.

For this week’s poll, we want to know:  Should schools resume in-person learning? “No, it's not safe.” “Yes, we need to be in school.” or “Yes, but only with some changes.”  Click here to vote!
