NEWSDEPTH QUESTION OF THE WEEK:  Design a building and tell us what it would be used for. Bonus points if you send us a drawing!

Camille, Claggett Middle School:  I would design a building for stray dogs and cats to live in, so they could feel at home. There would be a built in food dispenser. There would also be a play area, with lots of toys. Each pet would get its own space to sleep, and their own bed.

Jessica, Westwood Elementary:  My building would look like, a building that looks like books are on top of each other and the next to it will have a building that looks like paper. But the paper is leaning one the books. Right next to the paper there’ll be a pencil. And there is going to be a board on top of the books and it will show a multiply picture, and one for divide, addition, and subtraction. Right between the paper and the pencil there are going to be erasers. In the middle of the erasers there is a window that looks like a sharpener. The building will be an elementary school. When you enter the school you look up ceiling you will see glass the on the glass is drawing of friends and school and learning.

Josie, Dodge Intermediate: The Tiers Tower is a four-story restaurant.  The first floor is your appetizers. The second floor is your soup and salad.  The third floor is your main course, and the top floor is your dessert.  Each floor of my building rotates, so you have a good view of the city.

Caitlyn, Dodge Intermediate: This building is a Rainbow Factory and it is meant to make rainbows all day long, so it can make people happy when they are sad.
