NewsDepth Inbox: Season 48 - Episode #21

NEWSDEPTH QUESTION OF THE WEEK:  In this week's episode, we learned all about Ohio. Write to us and tell us what state would you create? Tell us what you would name it and why it would be a great place to live!

Maria, Bath Elementary:  If I could make my own state, I would name it Potterio (Paw-TER-I-o). Every month, there would be an in-state holiday celebrating all Harry Potter characters. Also, everyone would have a Harry Potter marathon if they wanted too.

Tristan, Lakeview Middle School:  My state would be named Lily of the Valley. I would name my state that because that is my favorite flower. You should live in my state because it is full of beautiful flowers alive in the state. Another reason is because you get free food the first year you live there from anywhere. My last reason to live there is because we have very, very, very nice people in my state.

Warren, Olmsted Falls Intermediate:  I would call my state Summerlot, because it would mean that it is warm a LOT!!! I would also have more homeless shelters. Another thing I would add is more food drives and fundraisers for the poor. The reason people would like it is because one, it’s REALLY nice, and it’s warm. Another reason is Summerlot would be popular is that it would have a very good Police Squad. The nickname would be Summerville. Those are my reasons why you should come to Summerville!

Luke, Buckeye Intermediate:  My state will be called Lukester land and will be located in space. The reason it would be good to live there is that there are going to be 5 different Amusement/Water parks, 2 trampoline houses, and 100,000,000,000 miles wide and 100,000,000,000 miles long. There will be no school, and there will be an unlimited amount of Moose Tracks Ice Cream. Also, there will be 6,000,000,000 pools. You will not have to have any cars, because you will get a free JETPACK when you come in. That is my state and why it is good to live there.

Braylon, Gearity Elementary School:  I would name my state Calligraipha, because it would be a state where writers like me won't be judged by writing, and you can find people that like writing like you.
