winter poem

We asked you to write us a winter poem.

Zoey, Central Intermediate School: It’s snowing outside, no flowers in sight, but you can stay warm by the fire tonight. It’s cold outside, not warm outside, but you can always stay and drink hot chocolate tonight!

Jordyn, Fort Recovery Middle School:

Snowflakes

Snowflake laced in glitter and shine

Snowflake as crystals glissten in rays of sunshine

Snowflake blossoms in the earth above

While Frosty is shoveling in the drive

White as cotton

Thin as paper

Falling like sunshine onto our earth

As the sunshine shines the snowflakes fade as light does into darkness of the sky

Snowflakes turn into water

Water turns into a puddle in the road

Snowflakes see you soon

Ryan, Columbus Gifted Academy:

Barren Trees

Now that it’s winter

There are no leaves

And all I can see

Are barren trees

Fall is no more

And it’s cold outside

I have to stay inside

And I get very bored

But in conclusion

It’s clear to see

It’s cold outside

And all I see are

Barren Trees
