NewsDepth Inbox: Season 49 - Episode #23

Last week we asked you to write in and tell us about a woman you admire. Here's what some of you said:

Kaleb, Orrville Middle School: I look up to Mrs. Troyer because she is always helping me with things and how to be a better person and how I should treat others in sports and out of sports.

Riley, Shaw Elementary: A woman that inspires me is Hellen Keller, she has a vision and hearing impairment, meaning she is unable to hear or see. She inspires me because she always works her hardest no matter what things put her down. She improvises, meaning if she can't do it the way everyone else does it, she finds a way to make it work. Just imagine being blind and deaf! It would be SO hard, that's why Hellen Keller inspires me.

Isaiah, St. Adalbert: I admire my mom the most because she brought me into this world and keeps a roof over my head and food in my stomach.

Gavin, Leroy Elementary: A girl who inspires me is ruby bridges. She inspires me because she was very brave when she went to the all whites school. When I grow up I want to be brave like her.

Jordan, Scottwood Elementary: The woman who inspires me is Ellen Ochoa. The reason why she inspires me is that she had a mom who always said to reach for the stars and she became the first Hispanic woman to go into outer space! That told me to try to do what I want to do when I grow up. When Ellen signed up to be an astronaut, she got denied at first. She did not give up. That inspired me to not give up. That is why she is the woman who inspires me to persevere!
