NewsDepth Inbox: Season 49 - Episode #25

Last week we asked you to write in and tell us why you think it's important to vote. Here's what some of you said about the ballot box:

Callie, Main Elementary: I think it's important to vote because you can always help your government in any way possible in class we are learning about government and it's awesome to learn about government and it can inspire you too maybe even run for president one day!

Mara, Olmsted Falls Intermediate: It is important to vote because when you vote you get to choose what you want. If you don't vote then you won't get a say in what you want, therefore you can't complain if you don't like the president or mayor because you didn't vote.

Ryleigh, Claggett Middle School: I think it is important to vote because it allows citizens to have a say in who they want in office or with any issues being voted on. It is a privilege and our right to vote because in some parts of the world people do not have a say in how their government is run.

Corie, Eastview Elementary: I think voting is important because people get a chance to say what they want to happen. People should take a chance to realize what thing is better than the other thing. That is why I think voting is important.

Greyson, Lake Cable Elementary: I think it is important to vote because with voting citizens get to share their opinion but if you weren't allowed to vote then no one would be able to share their opinion and most citizens would probably not agree with the decision that the government would make.
