The book of Isaiah, Chapter Two, verse four, says "they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks." Two advocates for peace are putting that into action by literally beating guns into garden tools. Beyond thoughts and prayers, they're using heat and a hammer to transform donated guns. We'll find out what motivates Shane Claiborne and Michael Martin, authors of "Beating Guns: Hope for People Who Are Weary of Violence." First, an update on the petition effort to enact lead safe housing legislation in Cleveland. It hit a snag. And we'll end our show with our weekly statehouse update.
