The coronavirus outbreak is taking a disproportionate toll on minority populations across the country...with more than 30 percent of COVID-19 deaths being African American, despite making up only 13 percent of the population. On The Sound of Ideas at 9, we'll discuss the systemic inequities that play into who is getting infected and dying from this disease. Then, we'll discuss the challenges isolated, older adults are facing during the pandemic.
