Supreme Court Rules In Janus Case; Justice Kennedy To Retire; Mental Health Resources

Featured Audio

The Supreme Court wrapped up its latest term with a major decision and a major announcement.  The court saved a major decision for the last day of the 2017 terms---ruling in case from Illinois that public employees who refuse to join unions cannot be forced to pay "fair share" fees.  It's a decision that could reverberate here in Ohio and have a major impact on organized labor.   Not long after that decision was released yesterday, Justice Anthony Kennedy delivered a letter to the President announcing his intention to retire from the bench next month.  The vacancy gives President Trump a chance to reshape the court-- possibly for decades to come.  We will discuss the court's momentous final day of its current term.  Then, how to assist those who need help getting mental health and addiction services with our Be Well unit.
